Kesha 敗訴

Kesha just lost her war against Sony ... a New York state judge has rejected her claim that she has become a Sony slave and Dr. Luke is the master.

As we reported, Kesha tried to get an emergency order giving her the right to get out of her Sony deal, on grounds Dr. Luke allegedly raped her and Sony was tormenting her by holding her to the deal.

Kesha lost that bid but pressed on to have her day in court, but Sony aggressively moved to get the entire case thrown out. The judge has now squarely sided with Sony, rejecting all of Kesha's claims.

The judge didn't buy Kesha's "slavery" argument because Sony wasn't pushing for her to work only with Dr. Luke ... they would have made other producers available. By rejecting that offer, the judge felt Kesha was unreasonable.

Kesha had also argued she was the victim of a hate crime, claiming Dr. Luke's alleged abuse was covered under that law. The judge said, "Although [Luke's] alleged actions were directed to Kesha, who is female, [her claims] do no allege that [Luke] harbored animus toward women or was motivated by gender animus when he allegedly behaved violently toward Kesha."

The judge ended with this ... "Every rape is not a gender-motivated hate crime."

Kesha does have a similar lawsuit she filed against Luke in L.A., but that was put on ice.

Dr. Luke 反告Kesha 誹謗, 下個月上庭

There is another court trial next month.
Dr. Luke counter-sued her for slander and defamation.

- I didn't expect it to be interesting but her show is actually entertaining and different
- we are getting new choreos for other songs and the whole show seems very intriguing. It feels like watching a crazy experimental foreign film

- its weird because the whole show has the same structure for every song and then some weird in between whispering interlude but its still nice to watch
- those desperate whispering interludes really freak me out. sounds like a horror movie
- those schizophrenic whispers she had in between songs were so so terrifying yet so attractive in a way

整體黎講上專好好多

其實近兩專 Beyonce已經變左賣concept 同埋一張consistent 既專輯
音樂上已經唔再為打榜而出啲好radio-friendly既歌 (佢向緊Legend 路線邁進 )

單論歌曲旋律上 Self-titled其實近一半歌都好好聽 (Pretty Hurts, Drunk in Love, Blow, Partition, Jealous, Heaven)
當時打唔到榜主要原因係電台唔buy老女人/MV一早出哂/音樂類型太偏
Lemonade 音樂上玩得更盡, 但歌曲旋律上整體比Self-titled 既歌更加唔搶耳
專輯入面比較好聽既歌都唔係好radio-friendly (Pray You Catch Me, Hold Up, Sorry, Daddy Lessons, Love Drought, Sandcastles, Freedom)
相信佢plug 新碟既歌都會有咁上下難度喇

歌詞上, Self-titled既概念比較吸引 主題(講佢自己一生)亦比較容易relate到
Lemonade 初步感覺有兩大主題 一個係講佢老公 另一個係講平權
歌詞運用比 Self-titled好 但概念上比較偏門更加難取悅大眾

Beyonce’s on her way to making Billboard chart history with her new Lemonade album.

The diva’s latest release is set to debut atop the Billboard 200 chart dated May 14, according to industry forecasters. If Lemonade arrives atop the list, she will become both the first act to reach No. 1 with her first six studio albums, and also the first to debut at No. 1 with her first six studio sets.

When Beyonce’s last album, her self-titled effort, debuted at No. 1 in 2013, she became the first woman to hit No. 1 with their first five studio albums. Presently, only three acts have taken their first five studio sets to No. 1: Beyonce, rapper DMX and folk group The Kingston Trio.

DMX is the only other act, aside from Beyonce, to debut at No. 1 with their first five studio efforts. The Kingston Trio reached No. 1 with their first five studio albums -- between 1958 and 1960 -- by climbing up the chart after debuting at a lower rank.
