This is true but with 12 data, the median should be mean of the the 6th and 7th data, so Q1 should be 15. So I don't know how they got that answer. I agree that it should be 54.
Edited: oh sorry, didn't see that it say 3, not 2. Maybe he forgot 2 is a prime number? Also median of [3, ... , 37] is still not 17...
